Lee Moorhouse is the proprietor of Grassroots Groundcare
With over 10 years experience in all aspects of Groundcare Lee has covered many areas.
After beginning his career at Morecambe Golf Club at the age of 16,
Lee enrolled at Myerscough college from where he was
invited as one of the 12 most promising green keepers in the UK to
prepare the world famous Brabazon golf course at The Belfry in Sutton Coldfield.
Lee moved to Ashlea Landscapes to further his knowledge in the
commercial side of the industry, then onto BAE
systems in Samlesbury and Warton where he was responsible for
maintaining all aspects of Groundcare over two very large sites.
Following this Lee began his 3 year post as deputy course manager at
Mount Murray Golf & Country Club in the Isle of Man, where he oversaw the
maintenance and management of their 18 hole championship golf course,
bowling green and tennis courts.
At the age of just 21 Lee was one of the youngest
deputy managers in the country.
Lee returned to his native Lancaster in 2004 to continue green keeping at Lancaster Golf Club.
As a 10 year member of the British and International Golf and Green Keeper’s
Association and now proprietor of Grassroots Groundcare, Lee brings his
passion for and experience of Lawncare, Landscaping & Groundcare to commercial
and domestic clients both locally and nationally.
Lee has a natural ability when it comes to Lawncare, Landscaping & Groundcare
